Officially withdrawn...

Today filled out the withdraw form for London but will have a place for next year if I want to run which is a plus so will see how it all goes after the summer!!

This weeks training has been fairly relaxed millage wise but a bit more intense. After a day off Monday decided to get the legs ticking over a bit quicker by the standard "summer session" of 10 x 400s with a minute recovery. Safe to say a massive shock to the system and was blowing massively after the first few but have to start somewhere and it felt really good to be running (or trying to) fast again...time wise it was shocking compared to what was used to but solid for someone that hasnt done a session like that for going on 9 months!

Brisk 50 and 35 minute runs followed the two days afterwards with a road fartlek session Friday evening where it was fairly relaxed as deciding whether to run a local 10k Sunday. Legs are feeling a lot better and so is the chest (fingers crossed).

Was looking at some race websites and came across some VERY old results when running for Frome as a junior....might notice another Grist nearer the top of a few of them..

Funny seeing the progression which I think was pretty much most races..was on similar training from the very first race listed in 1999 right up until the sub 16s in 2001 with the only real difference was the long run being several miles more. More doesnt always mean better....
